Hi again listmembers.... No show last week as the transmitter was changed, but now we are a crisp, clear 9000 watts for the city of San Antonio. Recording" Tonight's album is total chill. If you need a new soundtrack for flying around the vacuum of space, you could go to Strauss. However, if you don't have a time machine, you could get Brian Eno, his spacey cohort Daniel Lanois, and little brother Roger Eno. The music speaks for itself, so there's really not much to say about tonight's album except that it has been used for multiple films about trips to the moon and back. NASA commissioned the music for loads of motion pictures about the Apollo missions, and the music was also the soundtrack to feature length documentary "For All Mankind". For those who haven't seen it, "For All Mankind" was a film narrated by the Apollo astronauts about their journey to our closest heavenly body, and it's a incredibly good movie if you're a space cadet. Being one myself, this recording is also one of my favorite albums EVER MADE. (Most of the albums played during this segment are my favorites ever made, but this one is certainly up there.) I haven't played this album for anyone that didn't enjoy it's contents. Beautiful atmospheres and wonderful slide guitars that send you to the lunar surface. Kick back, relax, and enjoy the orbit. In it's entirety.....Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, and Roger Eno and their ambient classic 'Apollo:Atmospheres and Soundtracks'. Thanks a whole bunch, you great gals and guys. Peace and hugs, Michael This show was recorded and available.
