Hi hi readers. "...the future was here and it came in time." Good show. Honest....I'm listening to it as I write this mail. Happy birthday to me buddy pal Ross Ruediger. He turned 30 this past week, and thanks to all involved in throwing him such a wild bash. More flood waters in the river city this week. I floated my little Toyota about 30 feet up Austin Hwy. OOOO That was fun. lol. Toyota's are tough little cars, I must say. :o) I'm ready for some rest and relaxation while I play......... Recording" Another week, another album played in it's entirety. I've been getting some compliments to my playing of some longer and slower pieces for the past couple of weeks. This week I'm playing another long ambient-dub piece. I can't tell you too much about tonight's band, as I don't know really anything. I do know that this band started off great, and then moved into a more heavy trance beat for their past few albums. I didn't like that as much as their earlier stuff. It also seems 1994 was the year for great techno music. There are a lot of different bands that put out amazing stuff in that year, and tonight's album is one that needs to be heard, but never was. Like last weeks album by Banco de Gaia, it's very erotic and spacey. It's very much an album of deep atmospheres, smooth grooves, and good samples. This was for everyone enjoying the rain and trying to get some rest. Here is an album that I've listened to a lot over the years, but no one has really heard of the band, much less this album. Out on Magick Eye Records from the U.K. Here is the group Astralasia with their third album. "Whatever Happened to Utopia?" (Eye CD 5) (Here's a great link for more info on Astralasia.) http://www.global-trance.co.uk/Astralasia.html "Let the chalices be raised!" Peace and hugs, Michael This show was recorded.
