32) "The Mid-Morning Recording" The
Earlies-'The Enemy Chorus'.
The first time I heard this band was when we played
their debut 'These Were the Earlies' as a "Mid-Morning Recording"
a couple years back. Orlando brought it in and I was hooked from the
first listen. We have since held two interviews with the band, and we
even recorded them live in concert. As good as this band is live; I
would have to say that their music is best heard in the album format.
Their albums are written and arranged for long play listening; over
and over again. Their second album is just as epic as their debut, and
I hope they continue to make great atmospheric music for years and years
to come. I'm glad that they decided to use internet technology to start
this project up, and they continue their multi-continental origins with
this wonderful second recording. They have also become one of our favorite
bands currently making music, and they are certainly our favorite U.K.
band based out of Texas. lol. This album is certainly in my top ten
albums of 2007, and I'm sad that I haven't got to see most of these
songs played live. If these nice people come near your town, go see
them play, buy them a pint, buy their music, and say hi to them from
us here at MFL. Nice lads and lasses to say the least. They also cite
The Muppets as an influence, which is fine by me.
