32) "The Mid-Morning Recording"                Pink Floyd-'Animals' (Vinyl LP)
I'm surprised that I have not played this album before, being that it's from my favorite all-time band. I was going to play this album last week, but after looking at the release date, I thought to postpone it to this week. Today, January 21, 2011, is the 35th anniversary of the release of the album in 1977. Obviously, 'Animals', is not one of my favorite album's from the Floyd, (or I would have already played it), but it is a very good album, and better than what most artists do in their whole career. I've always thought of this album as a tribute to Orwell's "Animal Farm". As an animal personification approach to human kind and the brutality of the species. I know Marcus Rubio is a big fan of this recording, so I'll give him a shout out on this one. "You better stay home and do what you're told. Get out of the road if you want to grow old".
