27) "The Mid-Morning Recording" The Sundays-'Static and Silence'
I guess I wanted to wait a while before I played the final album by this great band. I'm so glad I got to see the Sundays at the Majestic Theater back in the mid-90's, and I surprised to see that this album didn't come out until 1997. I thought it was earlier. It's not saying much that this is the worst album of the three they released, as this album is much better than a lot of albums out there. It's most likely their weakest effort, only because their other two albums are considered "indie" masterpieces. I would like to see them return to the stage, but that would be like The Stone Roses getting back together and playing shows all over the world. :) I'm sure there were some listeners out there that stopped on the dial to listen, because The Sundays have that appeal. Their music is too good to ignore; especially if you are already a fan. I was a fan from the first time I heard that amazing voice "Well, it's you and me in the Summertime" - Michael - MFL
28) James-"Sayonara" From the CD 'Wah-Wah'. |
