Last year, I saw The Monkees live in concert. I've really always wanted to see them, but Nesmith was always my favorite, and he never played shows in America, much less Texas. Surprisingly enough, Michael Nesmith played the first shows with the band in his home state of Texas, maybe ever, and I'm glad to have gone! They played all of the songs from this album including Nillson's amazing compostion "Daddy's Song" as a video piece. As a break for the actual live band, and in tribute, they let the video screen take over with the wonderful dance sequence from the film featuring the late Davy Jones, along and the beautiful coreographer Toni Basil. I was completely moved by the choice to complete this album in concert with such a surprising tribute. They played a lot of 'Headquarters', and all of this album. On glourious vinyl and apparently compiled by Jack Nicholson himself. I didn't see this film until the late 90's, but I had been a fan of the group since I was a small child. I'm glad I waited, as I wouldn't have understood the themes of the piece anyways. There is a theme, but it's up to the viewer to decide what those themes are. It's all in your head. "And it looks like we made it once again!" - Michael - MFL
34) James-"Sayonara"  From the CD 'Wah-Wah'.
