I remember this album when it was new, and it reminds me of my second trip to Minnesota in 1980 when my cousin had it for listening at the lake house. I was already a fan of ELO when this album came out in 1979, and I remember asking my parents to buy it for me at the young age of seven. I also remember seeing the video version of the album when it was aired on late night TV. (Now the video version has been released on DVD after years of not being available.) With the disco friendly sound of most of the tunes on this album, this ELO record isn't as timeless as a lot of their work, but the songwriting on this album is still quite strong. Jeff Lynne makes music that sounded like no other, and I'm glad to see him getting a nod from a lot of the youth of today. ELO is making a comeback, and hopefully I will finally see Lynne perform his ELO tunes sometime in the near future. I still love this album, and it makes me feel like a kid again when I hear it.
