Sad news this past week with the passing of ZZ Top's Dusty Hill, the founding bassist of the "little band from Texas". I'm so happy I can say that I saw the band when I was quite young. It's really the first concert in my life that I have a good amount of memories from. I remember that it was rockin', and I never saw so much smoke in one room ever! It's pretty incredible to say that I saw them play in San Antonio when they were just really getting going as a band. Fandango was the newest album at the time, and this best of compilation was about to be released. They had just hit their stride. It seems that they are going to continue to tour with a replacement, which is nice for those who really should see one of the greatest Texas bands ever.
