Pulse and The Back Side of the Moon

1) Beastie Boys-"Country Mike's Theme (Spaced version)"  Remixed from the compilation album 'Anthology: The Sounds of Science'.
2) Pink Floyd-"Ambient Sounds (Excerpt)"  A small section of the ambient sounds found on the end of the cassette version of the album 'Pulse'. It's the only place these sounds were released. These sounds are used to test the Quadrophonic PA system as the crowd enters for the concert.
3) "The Mid-Morning Recording"       Pink Floyd - 'Pulse'
As this show aired, four astronauts were on the way to the moon. They will travel farther than any other humans in history, passing around the back side of the moon in the Artemis II spacecraft. This April 3rd also marks the 32nd anniversary of Pink Floyd playing their only show in San Antonio, in 1994 - Easter Sunday. It also happens to be my birthday, so it was certainly special to see my favorite band, the only time they will play my hometown, on my birthday, Easter Sunday. We got our car broken into inside the Rivercenter Mall parking garage, but they caught the thief, and we had to go down to the police station to get things back. We had such a great night, that we saw them in Dallas, a couple of weeks later. It would be the final time seeing Pink Floyd in concert. The Texas dates were in the first month of the tour, and later in the year, they would start playing their most popular album, "The Dark Side of the Moon" in full on select dates ending out the tour. The following year, the live album that documented these performances was released on CD and Laserdisc video. Llater on, it was released on DVD, and much much later on, released on Blu-Ray, with remastered sound, and upscaled video. I have the CD, vinyl, cassette, laserdisc, DVD, and Blu-Ray versions of this album. I pulled from most of these sources for tonight's playback of 'Pulse'. So, in honor of the San Antonio Pink Floyd show in 1994, and four brave people who are on their way to moon, it was fitting to play this album, which does feature a live version of "The Dark Side of the Moon" in full. "And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon" - Michael - MFL
4) The Orb-"Supernova At the End of the Universe"  From the album 'Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld'.
5) The Orb-"The Back Side of the Moon"  From the album 'Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld'.
To fill in the three hours, these two track from The Orb were also fitting for the Artemis II mission.
6) James-"Sayonara"  From the album 'Wah-Wah'.
