I can remember buying a few records when I was a little kid. Records that I rememeber asking my dad if I could get them. The short list includes Queen's 'News of the World', Queen's 'Flash Gordon Soundtrack', The Beatles' 'Abbey Road' when John Lennon died, and this album. I can remember seeing this movie on HBO back in the day and wanting to get the soundtrack. I can see some influence on me with disco and dance music in general with this album. I've always enjoyed atmosphere in music, and soundtracks seems to always try to convey the atmosphere of the film it is composed for. This album is fun, much like the animated film itself. I remember in the mid 80's trying to record it from cable TV a few times. Now it's pretty easy to find streaming on one or the other services, and a DVD was finally released just a few years back. Check it out sometime. "Friends will try to put you down (go for it, go for it), when you don't want to go to town (go for it, you gotta go for it). But if you want to sing this song, you got to work out all night long." - Michael - MFL
