One of the albums that made me fall in love with 4AD records even more. It seemed with Pixies, The Breeders, Throwing Muses, and Cocteau Twins the label could do no wrong. I remember seeing the premiere for the music video for "Special One" on 120 Minutes with Bart Koch one late Sunday evening. It was appointment TV at the time, and anyone who collaborated with Kim Deal was worth listening to. Orlando and I hadn't met yet, but I remember buying this album and listening to it with the late Mr. Koch. This album reminds me of him, and being eighteen. He really liked Ultra Vivid Scene.
