David Lynch (1946-2025)
There are some celebrity passings that hit very close to the soul. Living without David Lynch in the world seems stranger than it was when he was using film to make moving paintings. That's what his films were. Moving paintings of his mind and dreams. Art, for art sake. I have special memories of seeing his films for the first time, and for the first time with others as well. His sound design alone is a huge influence on the movies I enjoy to watch, and also the ones I get to help create. I have a few personal memories of Lynch that I've told in many places before, and there are too many to write here. He will be missed. "In heaven, everything is fine. You got your good thing, and I've got mine." - Michael - MFL
