37) "The Mid-Morning Recording" Fleetwood Mac-'Fleetwood Mac'
Since this is being re-released on picture disc vinyl today, I figured it was a good opportunity to play the first album by Fleetwood Mac featuring Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham as members of the group. While I love all periods of Fleetwood Mac, this period of the group is obviously the most popular. Starting off a period of five top ten studio albums in both the U.S. and the U.K. This may be my favorite of those five. My parents bought this album new, so I've heard this album since the age of three. So many Mac favorites are here including "Over My Head", "World Turning", "Crystal", and "Sugar Daddy". Christine's vocals and keys on this track alone are stellar, and so mature. She brings her A-game. Of course, Nicks shines on this album with "Landslide" and "Rhiannon", proving right out of the gate her talent as a songwriter. Her harmonies with both Christine and Buckingham are also an overlooked aspect of this period of the band. Buckingham's "Monday Morning" starts off the album, and immediately showcases the harmonies of the three singer/songwriters. All backed by the ever powerful and ever present rhythm section of John and Mick. It is an album that is most certainly "all killer, no filler". Lightning in a bottle, and a merge of the U.K. and the U.S. sound of the 70's. Perfect. "
38) James-"Sayonara" From the album 'Wah-Wah'.
