21) "The Mid-Morning Recording" Voxtrot-'Voxtrot'
A great record, and it's a shame that more people didn't hear it. After
the "Best of 2007" lists came out, I was surprised that more
people didn't place it higher on their list; if at all. Every song here
is good, and every song is smartly written, but they are really best
heard live. I still can't believe that I recorded their second ever
radio session back in 2005. I heard many of the songs that ended up
on this record during that session, and I knew then how good this band
was even then. I really think that every member of this band could front
their own band, and the rhythm section could be the best one out playing
right now. If you like good hooks, good lyrics, and good musicianship,
then seek out this lovely ditty. "Dead weight alright, that's find
but get your hands off me; you have to touch me with kid gloves"
Michael - MFL
26) James-"Sayonara" From the CD 'Wah-Wah'.
