30) "The Mid-Morning Recording"    Talking Heads-'True Stories' (Songs from the Motion Picture Performed by
Talking Heads.)
It was a little confusing at the time. We all heard David Byrne was putting out a film called "True Stories", and then out came an album full of songs performed by Talking Heads under the same name; but it wasn't the soundtrack. The songs on this album are in David's film "True Stories", but only a couple are performed by the band. Some of the recordings of the actors performing these songs have appeared on different compilations and re-releases, but all of them have not seen a proper release. Twenty years on it really doesn't matter; not only do we have the wonderful and still relevant film to stand on its own, but also this great album performed by one of the greatest rock groups ever. Also, if a film features the wonderful actor/singer/songwriter Tito Larriva, then one can bet that he will always steal the show. A great film with great music performed by a great band. By the way, if you ever wondered where the band Radiohead got their name; it's from the song of the same name that appears on this album.
"And you dreamed it all, and this is your story. Do you know who you are? You're the dream operator".
