Of course KRTU is mostly a Jazz station, so tonight's music is no stranger to our airwaves. However during this part of the night, it's considered "a genre jump" to play Jazz. We would like to think that being a specialty show on the KRTU airwaves during the late night hours, Music For Listeners has no specific format.  With this in mind, I've been wanting to play another Jazz album for a while, and during my early morning weekday Jazz shift here at KRTU, this album keeps coming around. Most likely one of the best Jazz bands ever assembled and one of the most influential pieces of music in any genre. I'm sure some of the music we've played on this show wouldn't even exist if Miles wouldn't have blown his horn. This is two Jazz Mid-Morning Recordings in a row from Miles; maybe next time I'll pick another artist. (Note, even though we are playing a remastered edition of the album, we are only playing the tracks listed on the orginal release.)
