31) "The Mid-Morning Recording"        Poster Children-'Junior Citizen'
This band has been one of my favorites for many years now. Almost two decades in fact. I've played many of their albums during this part of the show already, but I think I waited to play this one because it may have been their most popular. That's not saying that I don't like it as much as their other work, but I think that if anyone has heard of Poster Children, then they more than likely have heard a song from this album. At the time of its release, It had some major label backing with some nice videos, and a big time producer of Bryce Goggin was brought in. Needless to say, after this big push, the band would start to go to recording the albums themselves, in their basement. That said, this is certainly a seminal, maybe even a classic album from this amazing D.I.Y. band that should have been bigger stars than the "zero stars" they became. The song "He's My Star" alone could bring them riches if the right director would put it in the right film. Still, one of the most talented and best live bands American independent rock has produced. "Summer's here and the coast is clear, the ocean is not as calm as it appears."
