32) "The Mid-Morning Recording"             The Wedding Present-'Take Fountain'
(Why the U.S. label took off "On Ramp" is beyond me.) Tonight we present the UK version of The Wedding Present's seventh studio album. It was a return of the band that seemed to fall by the wayside with the stylings of Cinerama. This album was even supposed to be a Cinerama project, but the darker nature of the music seemed to fit The Wedding Present more. I'm extremely happy that David decided to bring back his siminal group. Not only did I finally get to see them live after a decade and a half of waiting, but I did finally got to talk to the man himself. One of the nicest people in rock and roll you may ever meet. So nice that he granted a request for a guest programming slot on "The 180" back in 2009. I dedicate the broadcast of this album out to the late John Peel, as it was the first album by The Wedding Present that was released after his passing. He would have loved it. "I should just get out of here and start driving South on Interstate 5"
