32) "The Mid-Morning Recording"        Dr. Dog-'Easy Beat'
This album reminds me of driving down Highway 290 from Austin to Johnson City. The first time I heard this recording was with Orly when we were driving back from seeing Dr. Dog open up for Architecture In Helsinki. This concert blew my mind and was certainly one of my favorites shows of that year. (This concert alone was the reason why I was so UNimpressed by Arcade Fire live, when I saw them two months after.) Dr. Dog themselves gave me this CD to play, and we put it on for the ride home, and we were fans ever since. The first thing that I thought of, was..."These guys like The Beatles...a lot!". Of course we played several tracks from this, and all the great releases they've made since, and we've even hosted Dr. Dog in San Antonio for a show. Now, this band is everywhere, and rightly so. They are great on their recordings, and they are certainly a live force. One of the better live acts out there currently playing. This MMR goes out to MFL friends, Frank, Christine and Sarah, who are bigger Dr. Dog fans than I could ever be. I love the band a lot, but they are obsessed! "The world may never know"
