35) "The Mid-Morning Recording"           Roxy Music-'For Your Pleasure'
Before Brian Eno would become the master of early electronic ambient music, he spent time as the keyboardist and backing singer for the one of the earliest representations of British art rock. Most likely my favorite album by the band, not only because of Eno, but because it is so British. Like the Beatles and the Kinks before, and The Smiths and The Fall after, (just to name a few), there are so few bands that can be seen as quintessentially British. This MMR is going out to the two biggest Roxy Music fans I know. My friend Morris, (who coincidentally got me this gig at KRTU, 20 years ago this week,) gave me a bunch of Roxy Music albums about 10 years ago, and I finally got to hear why Roxy Music was considered one of the greatest of all-time. Also, this is going out to my new friend Colleen, who I know loves this band, the great Brian Ferry, and of course the great Brian Eno, all from the amount of music she posts by them on Facebook. "Do the strand!"
