29) "The Mid-Morning Recording"                Morrissey-'Viva Hate'
A good friend of mine got me into the Smiths pretty much weeks after they broke up. A few months later, the same friend send me a cassette recording of this album. As a brand new Smiths fan, I was pretty taken by the debut solo album by Morrissey. Yet another album from this period of music that make me sit up and think, "Why isn't this being played on MTV, or mainstream radio." Of course, now The Smiths and their famed lead singer have since become household names in independent music. Thanks to Erika for The Smiths, Morrissey, and especially making me realize that XTC was the band making those songs I heard, but didn't know who it was. A strange coincidence here is that this album was picked, and this show was recorded the week before Morrissey announced his November 2011 stop here in San Antonio. Good timing on my part I guess. "This is the coastal town. That they forgot to close down. Armageddon - come armageddon! Come, armageddon! come!"
