Every now and then, there is a band that is special. One that has almost limitless talent to write amazing music. One that has had years of experience not only being musicians, but also being friends. The dynamic, the talented, and the amazingly fun boys from Deleware known as The Spinto Band are masters of the hook. It seems everything this band makes is quality, and everything they produce is from the heart and truly collabrative. Regular listeners know that MFL has a long history with this band dating back to 2005 and the first of many Soda/Tea/Root Beer taste tests. (Taste-tests for the radio???) Tonight we play an album that the band handed to us way back in March of 2011, and asked us for our opinon on it. I was completely flattered by the request. They did ask us to not broadcast it until they released it, and that ended up being over a year later in May of 2012. So for a year and two months, I listened to this album a lot before the rest of the world did. That is pretty special. I will always cherish my hand-painted promo copy of this recording, and it is one of my favorite items in my collection of their releases. Tonight, in May of 2013, we play it is in its entirety, from the limited edition blue vinyl version. The sounds of this brilliant pop album are being sent out into the cosmos. Aliens will hear it one day and say, "True to life and in the flesh, begging, digging for the scraps. I'm just a living thing!"
