It's so nice to be able to hear a UK great band, and then book them to play in an old garage turned into a burger shop in East Austin. (Thanks to SXSW for drawing these bands here every year now.) Orlando found this band in early 2013 and booked them to close the three days of parties at Flat Top this year. Between the time of their booking and the time the performance, Orlando and I kept mentioning to each other, "Tall Ships is going to be pretty good live aren't they"? They really brought it, and were absolutely outstanding to close out the parties. They were super nice guys to chat with, and I loved that the place they were staying was just around the corner from the Flat Top. It was kismet it seemed to end their week there. 'Everything Touching' is an album released in 2012 that if I would have heard it before 2013 started, it would have easily been in my top ten. You'll hear more from this band in the future I can guarantee it. I have a feeling they are only going to get better and better.
