Steve Hillage was once questioned if "electronic music has no soul". He replied, "bad music has no soul". This album has a load of great electronic soul. Youth, The Drum Club, Laurent Gardnier, Mickey Mann, Greg Hunter and others collaborate on this, the third of System 7's (777) releases with the great husband and wife team of Steve and Miquette. I chose to play the Astralwerks double CD version to get it all in. In the UK, the albums were released separately one after the other. Sadly, a vinyl version of "Water" has never been released. I love the more relaxing versions on "Water" to the firery beats of the "Fire" LP. I pretty much see both as one release and I'm glad it was released as a double CD set here in the U.S. - Michael - MFL
