Thanks to Orly, (who was somewhat of a frequent guest host back in the early days of MFL), we played "Shiver" by Coldplay on Music For Listeners way before "Yellow" was even released. We also played their breakout hit the week that single was released, before it broke out. It was not really a surprise to either of us that the song took off. It had a hook that no one denied. Based on the strength of this album, it was not a surprise to me in the least that it ended up being such a huge seller. Every now and then, a great record does get the attention it deserves. This album has lots of great songs, and remains my favorite album from the band. When I first heard Coldplay, I thought they were a mix of The Verve, Radiohead, and Travis, and years later, I would find out that those bands were all heavy influences, as were others. Orly suggested that we play this record, and I agreed. Yes, it was a huge seller for Parlophone Records, but it's all good indie-rock to us, back when this band could certainly be called an indie-rock band. "Homes, places we've grown. All of us are done for." - Michael - MFL
32) James-"Sayonara"  From the album 'Wah-Wah'.
