Short and sweet. This MMR was picked by Orly, but it is certainly one of my favorite EP's ever released. We haven't played too many EP's on the show, and during the broadcast, I mentioned we hadn't played one as a MMR before. Orly reminded me that it wasn't, but it is quite rare that we play an EP. This EP was released in March of 1991, (30 years ago this week), and Orlando and I would meet for the first time in April of 1991 at a Ride concert in Austin. Ride were on a co-headline tour of the U.S. with Lush, and this was Ride's latest release at the time. I do remember that they played "Unfamiliar" from this EP at that show, but I didn't know that song at the time. I just knew that Loz's drumming was some of the best I've ever seen live! With the help of our late friend Bart Koch, I found out about this EP. He found out about it from Orly, who had bought it new. Mystery solved, and the rest is as they say, history. Today ... forever. Yep, 1991. What a year of growth for me, and this EP was certainly a part of it. This may be my favorite release from Ride start to finish, as all four songs are pretty much masterpieces. Give it up for the bass. Give it up for the guitars. Give it up for the drumming. Holy mother, the drumming!!! "People wonder where she's gone. All they sees a strange shaped stone. They'll never invade her now." - Michael - MFL
31) James-"Sayonara"  From the album 'Wah-Wah'.
