30) "The Mid-Morning Recording"      Loretta Lynn-'Van Lear Rose'
Sadly, the prolific and iconic country music singer Loretta Lynn passed last week at the age of 90. The most awarded female country singer with a career that spanned over 60 years. Obviously we could have played so many greatest hits compilations, or one of her classic country albums, but since we tend to be a little more 'alternative' in our programming, the album 'Van Lear Rose' fits here perfectly. A wonderful collaboration between Loretta and Jack White. It was intended as an experiment, but ended up being a full album. It ended up winning the Grammy for Country Album of the Year. The album is certainly country, but the sound of the album is very much on the Jack White tip. He produced the album, played on every track, and sings duet on the single "Portland, Oregon", which also won a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals. This is also only one of two albums in her whole career where Lynn writes or co-writes all the songs. We play the album in tribute to Loretta Lynn. Rest In Peace - Michael - MFL
31) James-"Sayonara"  From the album 'Wah-Wah'.
