In 2010, right as we were putting together the parties for our second year at The Red House, we got a message from the head of Bar/None Records asking for a new signing to play a spot. At that time, I had no idea that they would become one of my very favorite bands. Standard Fare is their name, and sadly after nine years of being together, this past week, they decided to part ways as a band. With two amazing albums, and several incredible singles under their belt, they have decided to stop playing under this band name. From the get-go, I knew that they were special, and they can write a hook with the best of them. Because they decided to call it quits, I decided to go ahead and play my second favorite album of 2012 a week after I played my favorite. This is the second and sadly, final album by Standard Fare. May they one day be featured in a soundtrack and be forced to reunite. :D Every song on this record is good, every single one. I didn't know if they would top their debut, and they did. By Standard Fare, I will miss you. "Sure would be nice to see you, to have you around. A friend in this town."
