28) "The Mid-Morning Recording" Falconer (Andy Falconer)-'Falconer'
Like most people, I found Andy Falconer when he was a short lived member of The Orb. He co-wrote and engineered some of the first Orb release "Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld." After The Orb became one of my favorite bands, it seemed that Andy was nowhere to be found. Until 1993, this album came out. It was only released on the German indie label Clockwork Records, and at the time, I had to special order it as an import release. For me, this album is up there with some of the best Ambient Dub music ever made. Layered with reggae, atmospherics, and trance. Quite frankly, I was flabbergasted that I hadn't played this album before. Some super spacey stuff, and that's exactly how I like it. It doesn't seem Andy will ever create another recording, which is a shame, as this one is so amazing. "We were checking out what's on the other side of the wall." - Michael MFL
29) James-"Sayonara" From the CD 'Wah-Wah'. |
