33) "The Mid-Morning Recording" Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds-'Let Love In'
Another artist that I'm shocked that we haven't played as a MMR before. I guess some Nick Cave albums do have a good amount of profanity on them, so it's hard to pick an album by him that I wouldn't have to edit for broadcast, but I didn't let that stop me this week. I think I chose this album first from Nick, mainly because it features "Red Right Hand", which is certainly one of my favorite songs ever created really. A classic dark fable, as a lot of Nick's tunes are. I dedicate this one to the last Bart Koch. He didn't introduce me to Nick Cave, but his love for their music made me appreciate his craft as a songwriter much more than without him. Plus, there was only one use of profanity in this album that I edited out for the FM dial, as that was another good reason for picking it. One of his best, and most likely not the last album we'll play from Nick and the Bad Seeds. "On a gathering storm comes a tall handsome man in a dusty black coat with a red right hand" - Michael - MFL
