30) "The Mid-Morning Recording" Kraftwerk-'Computerwelt' Rest In Peace Florian Schneider
Anyone that knows me, knows that I'm a huge fan of Kraftwerk. I see them as influential as The Beatles were with their impact on modern music. This week one of the co-founders of the band, Florian Schneider, passed away at the age of 73. I sadly did not get to see Florian play with Kraftwerk, as he left the band in 2008. He is on every studio album Kraftwerk has made so far, so I thought we would play the German version of "Computer World" for this morning's album. An incredible record from start to finish, and way before its time released in 1981. Before the world had computers on every desk. Rest In Peace Florian. A techno pioneer. "Am Heimcomputer sitz' ich hier. Und programmier' die Zukunft mir" - Michael - MFL
