30) "The Mid-Morning Recording" The Verve-'Forth'
There isn't one bad album from The Verve. Their first three albums are masterpieces, and sadly this album never got any credit for being a great album in its own right. I believe that if the other three albums didn't exist, this one would be considered a masterpiece as well, but being that it was compared to their earlier work, it wasn't as critically hailed. I recently bought a vinyl copy of this album, and reacquainted myself with the material. It's really a great album. It's got some great singles, and some great atmosphere. It's got noise, and some ethereal moments too. I really wish they would have toured this album more. I think if they played these songs live a lot more, the songwriting on the album wouldn't have been as overlooked, and would have been enjoyed by more people. Certainly one of my favorite bands ever, and this is the last of their albums we haven't played as a MMR. Here's hoping they get back together once again to play some more amazing tunes.
