The Spinto Band - The 180
The one-hundredth installment of "The 180" is hosted by The Spinto Band!
After kicking off "The 180" broadcasts with the very first episode, it seems
fitting for the greatest band from Delaware to make a return program for
the 100th episode. A wonderful playlist of influences and favorites.
Along with a special showcase of ten rare demos from the early years of the band.
First broadcast - December 16, 2017
The Spinto Band - Official Facebook Page
Lio Kanine - The 180
The ninety-ninth installment of "The 180" is hosted by Lio Kanine,
founder of the Brooklyn based record label Kanine Records.
As a long time lover of the label he founded, and the acts he signs, we
are excited to have him program three hours of music for you listeners
to enjoy. He plays some of his favorites from acts he has signed
over the years, and some from acts that aren't on the Kanine roster.
First broadcast - November 25, 2017

Nicolette Good - The 180
The ninety-eighth installment of "The 180" is hosted
by singer/songwriter Nicolette Good! A longtime San Antonio favorite here at MFL!
We hosted her at a show with the great folk singer Charlie Parr a few years ago, and have
been a super fan ever since. Her broadcast features a playing of her 2015
release "Little Boat On A Wave" with some of her own commentary about tracks from the
record. Then she "hands over her headphones" and plays a playlist of some of her favorite
tunes from the past few months. A sweet person with a sweet voice and a sweet set of music.
First broadcast - October 28, 2017

Xochitl and Alfred - The 180
The ninety-sixth installment of "The 180" is hosted by longtime MFL friends
Xochitl and Alfred. First off they are brother and sister, so it should be fun to
hear them converse about their mutual influences growing up, and also
they are long time supporters of the program, and longtime friends
to the hosts. They take us on a musicial journey from the 1960's up
to the present day with some brand new music.

eclecticism, much like his musical offerings.

Beauty Sleep - The 180
The ninety-fourth installment of "The 180" is hosted by the Northern Ireland
band Beauty Sleep. A lovely pop trio featuring two members of our
past 180 guests Wonder Villans. They met at a house party a couple of years
back, and after releasing three singles to great acclaim, they
are about to release their debut EP 'Nature Will Eat Me'.
As expected, they deliver a fun, dreamy, and upbeat broadcast

Death Proof - The 180
The ninety-third installment of "The 180" is hosted by KRTU alumni

road movie by Tarantino. As they gear up for their 10th anniversary trip, they
share stories from past trips, and the music they listened to along the way.

Blueprint Blue - The 180
The ninety-second installment of "The 180" is hosted by London
based band Blueprint Blue. After being the last band to play for us at
our 2017 El Sapo parties, we asked them if they were interested in
guest hosting an episode of "The 180" for us. They have sent us
a show full of their influences, making for an incredibly eclectic broadcast.

Jason Chronis of Tele Novella - The 180
The eighty-ninth installment of "The 180" is hosted by Jason Chronis
of the band Tele Novella. MFL has known Jason for over
fifteen years since the early days of the Austin band Voxtrot.
These days his incredible bass playing talents are utilized in
many projects including Gary Davenport's revived
Mannequin project, and of course the amazing Tele
Novella. Voxtrot is also gearing up to play some
reunion shows in 2022! We know he likes
to collect rare records,
so it should be a
pretty eclectic 180 minutes of music!
